Bamber & Bruce is the first laboratory in Sri Lanka to obtain accreditation from the then accreditation authority, The Sri Lanka Standards Institution under the ASTEL (Accreditation Scheme for Testing Laboratories), in 1998. 2020 was performed as per 17025:2017. The main target to migrate from 17025:2005 to 1705:2017 is to serve better to our customer base since most countries consider the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is mandatory for a testing laboratory to be deemed as technically competent.

B&B’s portfolio of services covers a full microbiological analytical service, chemical analysis and physical testing of Food & Beverages, Potable Water, Waste Water/Sludge, Fertilizer and Soil, Food and Agricultural Products, Coir Fiber, Alcohol and Methanol, Cosmetics and House Hold Items, fish and fishery products, etc.

We have registered as a recognized laboratory to the National Medicine Regulatory Authority (NMRA) of the Ministry of Health Sri Lanka to carry out the technical evaluation of products submitted by importers/manufacturers/exporters for registration and assist the NMRA to regulate and control all aspects earned pertaining to cosmetics.
