Smart Edu Solutions (PVT) Ltd. is an educational technology provider based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It all began in 2018 when a 15-year-old created an app called '5wasara', which quickly became the first free educational app in Sri Lanka and amassed over 10,000 active users in just 6 months. Consequently, the company was incorporated in Sri Lanka as Smart Edu Solutions (PVT) Ltd. in 2019. Since then, the company has been on a mission to develop educational tools, platforms, and software for stakeholders such as private tutors, schools, organizations, and even the Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka. Their main brand, 'smartedu.lk' is the largest and most active open-source educational platform in Sri Lanka, with over 100,000 visitors each month. Other brands and trademarks owned and operated
